Note | Theory A: Her name was Mary White, born in England. Thomas Leffingwell fetched her from England to be his wife. I find no evidence for this theory. Theory B: Her name was "Mary" Singing-Lark, the princess daughter of Uncas, sachem of the Mohegan peoples in east Connecticut. I find reasonable (though not hard) evidence for this theory; so this family tree assumes Mary was Uncas' daughter. |
