Note

Christened on 10 Mar 1624, so born sometime before then,

Note

Friend of the Mohegan peoples in eastern Connecticut when he was a boy, including the Sachem, Uncas. In the army, Thomas and Uncas fought on the same side. A theory says that Thomas' wife, Mary, was one Mary White whom he fetched from England. Another theory says that Mary was the princess daughter of Sachem Uncas. I favor the latter theory as it has more evidence in its favor, while the Mary White theory has no evidence supporting it.

Note

As an army sergeant, Thomas was one of the founders of Norwich, CT. (He eventually was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.)
