Note | Christened on 10 Mar 1624, so born sometime before then, |
Note | Friend of the Mohegan peoples in eastern Connecticut when he was a boy, including the Sachem, Uncas. In the army, Thomas and Uncas fought on the same side. A theory says that Thomas' wife, Mary, was one Mary White whom he fetched from England. Another theory says that Mary was the princess daughter of Sachem Uncas. I favor the latter theory as it has more evidence in its favor, while the Mary White theory has no evidence supporting it. |
Note | As an army sergeant, Thomas was one of the founders of Norwich, CT. (He eventually was promoted to the rank of lieutenant.) |
