Shasteen) Widow remarried: IGI listing Shasteen, Juliette Shasteen m Francis F. Shoup 31 Mar 1872 in Defiance County, OH. IGI actual records revealed no parents & officiator was Wm. Willeman, J.P I am a descendant of George & Sarah (Drake) Bowdle-they are my ggg grandparents. Their daughter (Juliette's sister) Mary Elizabeth Bowdle married Samuel C. Dey. They are my gg grandparents. My maiden name is Dey. Samuel owned a large farm in Defiance County, Ohio near Brunersburg where he and Mary Eliz. are buried (Brunersburg Cem.) along with the Bowdles and another Bowdle daughter Rosetta "Rosa" Bowdle Richardson and her husband John. Researching the Bowdle family took us to Independence Cemetery - no records there of Juliettes burial. I haven't been able to find a death record or obit. -And, I think I saw a census that showed Juliette living with the Shasteen's after Lewis died.
