Note | 1860 census (Sugar Creek Twp, OH): William Lilly (age 37/farmer), Margaret (31), Ruth (5), Lucetta (1). All born in Ohio, except Margaret born in PA. Same shows 3 Lilly family farms in a row. 1870 census (Sugar Creek Twp, OH): William Lilly (age 47/farmer), Margaret (41), Ruth (13), Lucetta (11), Emma (7). Several Lilly family farms in a row. The 1900 census for Swan Creek Twp, OH lists Jessie Ickes as a widowed female wash woman and head of household. I'm assuming they meant Mrs. Jessis Ickes, i.e., Lucetta. Therefore, Jessie died before this 1900 census. Five children living at home, but total of nine living children, therefore four more children grown and gone by 1900. |
