Madeline was the cherished wife of Willard "Pete" for 67 years. The loving mother of Constance (William) Harrison, Kathleen (Rodney) House, Gerard (Dorothy) Matthews and Gayle (Robert) Lark. Beloved grandmother of Heather (Gregg) Probst, Thomas (Elizabeth) Harrison, Amy (Kurt) Jaynes, Kevin (Sara) House, Keith (Kristina) House, Nathan (Jane) House, Joshua House, the late Sean Matthews, Jason Matthews, Andrea (Michael) Jatczak, Allan (Melody) Holmes and April Lark and great-grandmother of 17. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Madeline loved to learn things. She liked to read and watch educational shows on TV and listen to the occasional record. Throughout her life she stayed up to date on current events and politics, never being afraid to offer her opinion on any matter. She was also talented in many things, from being a fantastic cook, to sewing.

Madeline loved her family above all else. Family gatherings often included her siblings and nieces and nephews. During many of those gatherings, the adults could often be found around a card table playing Pinochle. She was a great and competitive player. Together with her sisters and sister-in-laws she was part of a Pinochle club for over 60 years. She also greatly enjoyed bowling. Together with her husband Pete they participated in various leagues throughout many years. She even enjoyed a round of golf from time to time and the occasional family trip. It was her family, especially her grandchildren that brought Madeline the most joy in life. She was a wonderful, warm and loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
