| Note | Daniel W. Sturdevant passed away Saturday, August 15, 2015, at his home. The son of Robert and Elizabeth (Betsy Weidinger), he was born September 27, 1955, in Toledo. He attended Christ The King School and was a graduate of Start High School in 1973. After high school, he traveled to Florida, Colorado, other parts of the U.S. before marrying Debbie Cessna in 1978. Dan worked for Ledbetter and Don Cessna as a Fire bricklayer and glass furnace specialist, practicing his trade in Cairo, Egypt for a short time. He enjoyed fishing, boating, playing pool and cards, as well as coin collecting and metal detecting. Dan was extremely talented at taking things apart and putting them back together again. He was always there to give advice, teach a lesson or give a helping hand. Dan was a great joke teller. He never knew a stranger and had a wide circle of family and friends who loved him. He will be deeply missed by anyone who knew him. Goodbye Danny, Jesus has you now. Surviving are his children, Donald "Donny" and Deanna Sturdevant; mother, Elizabeth Christ; brother, Mark (Corrine) Sturdevant; sisters, Nedra (Dean) Grussing, Beth, Molly Viera and Jill; nieces and nephew, Amanda, Liza, Bevin, Ciarra and Ryan. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert. Family will receive friends on Thursday at Walker Funeral Home 5155 Sylvania Ave. (west of Corey RD) from 4-7 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association , 6800 W.
