MATHEWS JOHN P. Age 84 of Roscommon, Michigan formerly of Southfield, passed away on Monday, October 7, 2013. Mr. Mathews was a member of the American Legion #2012 in Roscommon. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II. Beloved husband of Nancy for 60 years. Dearest father of Jay P. (Barbara) Mathews and Sharyn (Gary) Sussman. Loving grandfather of Jason (Amy) Mathews, Justin (Cheryl) Mathews, Heather (Daniel) Waatti, Derek (Amanda) Mathews, and Ashley (Joshua) Anderson, and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a special nephew and niece, Stephen and Paula Otto, along with Sandra (Rob) Unsworth, Sandra (Robert) Wilkinson, and Chip Campbell. Visitation at the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, 2125 Twelve Mile Road (two blocks west of Woodward Avenue), Berkley, 3-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
