| Note | Blanche Hayward, died Dec. 18, 1996 - Blanche Hayward, 77, of 210 N. Lavinia St., passed away Wednesday at Butterworth Hospital, Grand Rapids. Blanche Cross was born July 21, 1919, in Kalkaska. She grew up and attended school in Kalkaska, also living in Detroit, Hancock and Ludington. She was married to William Hayward and he preceded her in death. She worked as a professional photographer while living in Detroit. Later, she managed the Hayward West End Grocery Store in Hancock. Upon her retirement, she decided to enjoy surroundings of Lake Michigan and Ludington. Blanche was an avid gardener and pinochle player. Blanche Hayward was the beloved mother of Barbara Olm and Robert (and Dianne) Hayward; the grandmother of William Hayward, Christine (and James) Wilson, Eve Henderson, Lisa (and Michael) Wozniak, and Robert Attwood; the great-grandmother of Carter, Brandy, Chelsea, Mackenzie, Michael, Jonathon and Megan. The funeral for Mrs. Blanche Hayward will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21 at the Stephens Funeral Chapel, Scottville, with the Rev. Michael T. Pelfrey officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Cemetery, Royal Oak. The family will be at the Stephens Funeral Home to receive friends Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. Ludington Daily News, Friday, December 20, 1996 |
